CVS “Runny Nose”

Pun intended.

The original brief for this project called for an animated nose with legs, aka, a "Runny Nose".  With neither the time nor budget to pull this off in CG, we suggested doing it live.  The result is an online hit for CVS & Minute Clinic with over 2.2 million views.  We hired a costume designer to construct a nose out of foam rubber and felt, and let the hilarity ensue from there.  The challenges in post were to remove the eye hole, remove the puppeteers shoulders (which made the nose look like it had been broken a few times) and add redness to the bottom of the nostrils.  We also added some contouring and shading that we could not achieve practically.  All of the post and color grading were done in Flame.
